Igunga Eco Village. Intergrated Aproaches for Climate Change Adaptation.
The Igunga Eco-village project aims to increase the resilience of 9 local farmer communities.They are strongly affected by the adverse effects of climate change. Through a FarmerField School approach farmer groups are trained in a wide range of proven climate adaptationtechnologies, including integrated pest control, tree planting and renewable energy sources.Also innovative techniques to Recharge, Retain and Re-use water (3R) are tested and upscaled.The project has been developed and is executed by the Igunga District Council, Aqua for All,ICIPE, Heifer Tanzania and Heifer Nederland
